4D-Technology_Interferomete.jpgThe PhaseCam 5030 Twyman-Green interferometer from 4D Technology Corp. was developed to remotely measure meter-class optics for terrestrial and space-based telescopes. Enabling measurement during vibration and air turbulence, the device employs Dynamic Interferometry to acquire all measurement data in one exposure. Fully remote-operated, the system can be mounted in locations such as measurement towers and environmental-testing chambers. It includes a high-speed optical phase sensor that eliminates the need for slow, piezo-based phase-shifters, permitting it to measure more than 10,000 times faster than conventional phase-shifting interferometers, according to the company. The 4Sight software provides 2- and 3-D analysis options.
