Lumics GmbH has unveiled the LU09xxC300, a fiber-coupled high-power diode laser system with 300 W of optical output power. Delivered from a fiber bundle of 45 single-emitter laser diode modules terminated into an SMA connector, it is available at 915, 940 and 975 nm. The 19-in. rack-mount system operates over a temperature range from 5 to 35 °C, with a lifetime of up to 100,000 h mean time to failure. It is supplied with a forced-air cooling system, a power supply and an RS-232 interface. An analog interface is available as an option.
