Kryptronic-Tech_tangostep.jpgKryptronic Technologies has announced the TangoStep, a single-axis intelligent stepper motor controller for industrial and laboratory applications. Suitable for long-term applications where a continuous connection is not possible, the device has an onboard microprocessor that continues despite transmission interruptions to the controlling PC. In addition, the processor allows users to store commands and execute them with a trigger and to operate 15 controllers simultaneously on a single bus. The component features 16-microstep resolution, a four-wire motor and speeds from 5 Hz to 40 kHz. The device’s open-architecture design allows the driver commands to be incorporated into other applications without additional software driv-ers. USB and RS-232 interfaces are available.
