DigitalView.jpgDigital View Inc. has introduced the HE series commercial off-the-shelf LCD controllers for use in military and rugged industrial applications. The HE-1400 and HE-1600 devices feature wide-tolerance power supplies (12 VDC ±25%), Mil-spec silicon resin conformal coatings, and locking connectors and low-mass tantalum capacitors for high tolerance to shock and vibration. Operating temperature ranges from –40 to 80 °C. Calculated mean time between failure for the HE-1600 is >150,000 h and, for the HE-1400, 200,000 h. Both models are RoHS-compliant. The former provides direct analog and digital connection to a variety of thin-film transistor panels up to UXGA resolution, and the latter has digital video interaction and ARGB inputs.
