SCANNING MICROSCOPE

Photonics Spectra
Dec 2007
Carl Zeiss Microscopy LLCRequest Info

CarlZeissMicroImaging.jpgThe LSM 5 Exciter laser scanning microscope launched by Carl Zeiss MicroImaging GmbH performs noncontact analysis of soft materials such as polymers with high accuracy and resolution. Users can visualize and measure 2- and 3-D topographies, determine roughness and waviness, and measure porosity and volume content. The microscope works in both reflected and fluorescent light, and its StitchArt plus option enables extra-long line profiles or image stack arrays that extend over more than 800 times the size of the scan field to be captured automatically with variable overlapping areas. The option includes autofocus, automatic contrast and brightness optimization, and first-order correction of the objective’s residual field curvature.
