ILXLightwave.jpgILX Lightwave Corp. has added eight models with higher quasi-CW output current and higher compliance voltage to its LDX-36000 series high-power laser diode drivers. They operate in CW and quasi-CW modes with precise low-noise current output and clean pulses. CW output ranges from 10 to 125 A, and quasi-CW from 20 to 220 A, with compliance voltages from 10 to 70 V. The drivers provide multiple levels of laser diode protection, including adjustable voltage and current limits, output shorting relays, and low operating and power line transients. Temperature limit is programmable, and a thermistor-based temperature monitor disables the laser output when the limit is exceeded.
