Sensoray.jpgThe Model 2251 frame grabber from Sensoray provides mpeg and jpeg video compression to Linux- and Windows-based computers via a high-speed USB connection. It accepts an NTSC or PAL composite analog video source and operates at 30 and 25 fps, respectively. Featuring adjustable resolution and bitrate selections, the compact device supports motion detection in three user-programmable regions of interest. Various levels of sensitivity can be set up for each region, and within each, motion can be further localized to a 16 × 16-pixel block. Synchronous audio capture is supported from a line-level input. A software development kit that works with multiple units is included.
