Its wavelength range is 7000 to 400 cm–1, with spectral resolution of 4 cm–1. The collimated and modulated IR output beam is 25 mm in diameter. The device measures 206 × 184 × 100 mm and weighs 4 kg. It uses a multicoated potassium bromide beamsplitter, a high-intensity air-cooled IR source and an Arcnet interface.
