Aerotech Inc.’s ARMS series direct-drive rotary-motion simulators feature velocity stability of 0.0001% over 360°, 0.02-arc-sec position resolution and rate resolution as low as 0.002°/s. Designed to test inertial components and systems, including MEMS, gyroscopes, inertial measurement units, avionics and accelerometers, the series achieves accuracy of ±2.5 arc sec and repeatability of ±0.5 arc sec. Suitable for applications requiring frequent directional changes, the devices use the company’s low-maintenance S series direct-drive brushless, slotless motor. Dual large-diameter bearings are used to maximize performance and to permit a payload up to 230 kg.
