The C10507-11 modules feature a built-in multipixel photon counter, a microcomputer, and various circuits for high-voltage power supply, for current-to-voltage conversion, for the comparator, for counting and for temperature compensation. Introduced by Hamamatsu Corp., they connect to a PC via a USB 1.1 port, and the threshold level can be adjusted from the PC. They have a spectral range of 270 to 900 nm and peak sensitivity at 400 nm, making them suitable for use in fluorescence lifetime measurement, flow cytometry, bioluminescence and chemical analysis, drug discovery, scientific research, analysis equipment and in other applications that require low-light-level detection. With a compact and lightweight design, the 80 × 55-mm systems accommodate all the basic functions needed for photon counting.
