Synrad-for-Jan-PS.jpgSynrad Inc. has unveiled the firestar t70i, an air- or water-cooled 70-W CO2 laser with an integrated radio-frequency (RF) power supply for applications where the laser is mounted on robotic arms or on moving gantries, or where an external RF supply and cables are not viable. Optical rise and fall time is <75 μs, ellipticity is <1.2, and full-angle beam divergence is 7 mrad. The laser produces a beam with M21.2 in a TEM00 profile. Wavelength range is from 10.57 to 10.63 μm, polarization is linear, and maximum heat load is 1400 W. Other applications include high-speed engraving and marking.
