Available from SVS-Vistek GmbH, the svs16000-GigE 16-megapixel camera with Gigabit Ethernet interface is GigE Vision standard-compliant when used in the single tap mode. The optional second Ethernet connection is useful when the 1-Gb speed is not suitable. The progressive-scan camera has 4904 × 3280-pixel resolution and uses a Kodak interline transfer CCD with a sensor diagonal of 43.3 mm. The ultrahigh-speed version has a rate of 5 fps. In partial-scan mode, images with fewer lines can be read at higher speeds. Binning with 2 × 2 pixels also is possible. A software development kit and driver enable integration into specific machine vision systems.
