Ocean Optics Inc. has released the ADC1000, a high-speed ISA-bus A/D card that creates a spectrometer interface with desktop PCs. Designed for use with the company's S2000 fiber optic spectrometers, this half-length card features a 1-MHz sampling frequency as well as a channel rotator that permits the acquisition of pixels from alternating channels. The ADC1000, which is for applications involving pulsed light sources and transient spectral events, supports Windows-based software.
