Power to 200 W, 200 µm
TUCSON, Ariz., Feb. 5, 2008 -- Dilas has introduced fiber-coupled multibar modules capable of delivering up to 200 W out of a 200-µm fiber.

dilasmodule.jpgAllowing clad-free coupling of the diode light at wavelengths of 808, 940 and 980nm, these fiber-coupled, multibar modules deliver 130 and 200 W through a 200-µm fiber with a numerical aperture of <0.22. The four- and six-bar designs are based on industry-standard optically stacked and polarization coupled single-conduction-cooled bars.

Options include an integrated pilot beam, power sensor, fiber interlock or user- exchangeable protection window.

A two-electrode device with an anode and a cathode that passes current in only one direction. It may be designed as an electron tube or as a semiconductor device.
The technology of generating and harnessing light and other forms of radiant energy whose quantum unit is the photon. The science includes light emission, transmission, deflection, amplification and detection by optical components and instruments, lasers and other light sources, fiber optics, electro-optical instrumentation, related hardware and electronics, and sophisticated systems. The range of applications of photonics extends from energy generation to detection to communications and...
