The ADM-1000, manufactured by Lasermet Ltd., is an advanced handheld optical power meter for use in production calibration, in automatic laser stability testing and in pulsed laser characterization applications. It makes accurate and repeatable optical power measurements for lasers, LEDs and other light sources. It can be connected to any of the company’s new line of detector heads, including photodiode and thermal types. Photodiode heads are available in a standard Si type, covering the 400- to 1100-nm range, in a UV-enhanced Si type, covering from 200 to 1100 nm, and in an IR-enhanced InGaAs version that covers from 800 to 2000 nm. When used with the ADM-1000, the devices provide a response time of 700 ns. The thermal heads produce 20 W of maximum average power, have a Peltier detector, operate from 180 to 20,000 nm and offer a response time of 0.1 s.
