Michelson Diagnostics Ltd. has announced upgrades to its EX1301 OCT microscope. The device now is available with a Santec-2000-W laser, which increases the sweep range from 100 to 150 nm and reduces the isotropic pixel size from 6 to 4.5 μm in tissue. A motorized stage option makes 3-D capture possible, while the improved algorithms and electronics have tripled the frame rate to 2.9 fps for a 4.5-mm-wide, 1000 A-line image.
