NikonInstruments.jpgNikon Instruments Inc. has introduced the A1 series confocal laser point scanning systems, which integrate with the Ti-E research inverted microscope. Two models, the A1 and the A1R, are available. The A1 is fully automated, with standard paired galvanometers with high-resolution scanning at up to 4096 × 4096 pixels and with a standard speed of 2 fps for 512 × 512 pixels. The A1R has a hybrid scanner system of paired galvanometers coupled to a high-speed resonant galvanometer for use with photoactivation fluorescence proteins and for live-cell studies.
