Opto Diode Corp. has introduced the near-infrared red-enhanced 5-mm2 ODA-5W-100K photodiode preamplifier. The combination device offers 500-MΩ gain, low noise and a large active area, with a high-sensitivity near-infrared response at 940 nm of 63 V/mW (minimum 55 V). The operating and storage temperatures range from –25 to 100 °C. The instrument has applications in medical diagnostics, including fluorescence and spectroscopy.
