MIS.jpgThe Paxcam2+ digital microscope camera has been unveiled by MIS Inc. Its CCD sensor captures low-light images and offers an enhanced dynamic range that produces images with more accurate color rendition and tonal qualities. The progressive-scan camera has a high-speed USB 2.0 interface. It operates at 12 fps with 1600 × 1200-pixel resolution and at 40 fps with resolution of 800 × 600, and it supports autoexposure, auto white balance and manual color adjustment. The signal-to-noise ratio is >66 dB, power consumption is ∼2.5 W, operating temperature is from 0 to 50 °C, and integration times range from 1 ms to 16 s. The camera is supplied with the Pax-it image database software and interface.
