Rad-icon Imaging Corp. has announced the Shad-o-Box 1024 Hi-Res x-ray-sensitive imaging camera that uses the company’s RadEye x-ray-specific digital image sensor. This high-resolution, compact stand-alone camera features 8000:1 contrast resolution, sensitivity of 200 ADU/mR, 14-bit output and a parallel digital interface (LVDS) for direct input to a digital frame grabber. Two specific models cover the energy range from 10 to 160 kV. Total camera power dissipation is less than 6 W.
