Kaleido.jpgKaleido Technology ApS is offering diamond milling for manufacturing arrays of aspheric lens surfaces. Applications include wafer-level manufacturing as well as inserts for injection molding and hot embossing of fly’s-eye lenses. To satisfy the requirements of imaging applications, the company uses micromilling to meet tight tolerances for form, finish and pitch accuracy, and to manufacture lenses with high numerical apertures that extend to hemispheres. Complex shapes such as gold-wing lenses and free-form shapes such as biconic lenses can be produced. Form accuracies are better than λ/4, and pitch control is better than 3 μm absolute on wafers of up to 200 mm in diameter.
