Norpix.jpgNorPix Inc. has released the TroublePix150-500 for portable digital video recording. The device includes Epix Inc.’s PIXCI EC1 ExpressCard laptop-based frame grabber for base, medium and full Camera Link cameras; proprietary TroublePix software; and a Photonfocus high-speed Camera Link CMOS camera. Users can record an 18-s digital video sequence to RAM with 1024 × 1024-pixel resolution at 150 fps, or with 512 × 512-pixel resolution at 586 fps, or can use a lower frame rate for longer sequences. Features include looping, a global shutter mode for blur-free images, pre- and posttriggering, and event markers. An optional battery pack is available for field operation.
