Mightex.jpgMightex Systems has launched a line of 8-bit 3-megapixel color CMOS cameras with 32 MB of onboard memory. The USB 2.0 progressive-scan cameras have built-in frame buffers, external trigger-in/strobe-out and a powerful engine that supports multiple cameras. Imaging rates are up to 8 fps in full resolution and up to 300 fps in region-of-interest mode. Graphical user interface-based application software and a software development kit are provided, as is a USB command set protocol for applications not based on Microsoft Windows. Resolution is 2048 × 1536, and pixel size is 3.2 × 3.2. Dynamic range is 61 dB, sensor signal-to-noise ratio is 43 dB and operating temperature range is from 0 to 45 °C. Applications include machine vision, digital microscopy and medical imaging.
