Arroyo Instruments has released a 24-W temperature controller for laser diode test and measurement that offers twice the power of its earlier 5230 model. Based on the company’s 5300 series, the 5235 model can source up to 3.5 A and 7 V of output power, and has full digital proportional integral derivative control and 0.004 °C stability. It features a vacuum fluorescent display and readable settings that are easy to understand and that do not require consulting the manual. It supports standard thermistor temperature sensors. The 5300 series models and the 5235 are equipped with a DB-15 output connector and USB and RS-232 interfaces for computer control. They are command-set compatible with other temperature controllers.
