The 55 × 42 × 35-mm footprint provides a travel range of 50 μm. It has solid-state hinges, which provide guidance without friction or mechanical play, and subnanometer resolution in open-loop and 1-nm resolution in closed-loop operation. According to the company, the integrated capacitive measurement sensor system eliminates hysteresis and drift and provides good stability, linearity and repeatability.
