piezosystem.jpgThe Tritor line of positioners manufactured by piezosystem jena GmbH has been expanded with the addition of the Tritor 50 Cap nanopositioner. Providing travel of 50 μm, the 55 × 42 × 35-mm device features specially designed solid-state hinges to provide guidance without friction or mechanical play. Its high-precision positioning ability is a result of its sub-nanometer resolution in open-loop operation and of its 1-nm resolution in closed-loop operation. Its integrative capacitive measurement sensor system eliminates hysteresis and drift and provides high stability, linearity and repeatability in closed-loop operation. The device also is available in vacuum and cryogenic versions.
