The Leica Advanced Widefield Systems from Leica Microsystems GmbH were designed for wide-field fluorescence microscopy. The AF6000 E, AF6000, AF6500 and AF7000 all use the same software platform and can be customized to suit all live-cell-imaging requirements. They are suitable for applications including routine imaging and documentation, and as live-cell workstations for complex real-time experiments. The systems can adapt readily to changing needs, depending on which modules and components are selected, to configure an individual system. Each of the solutions is upgradable and enables many combinations of the company’s hardware and software.
