McPherson Inc. has released a stray-light-rejecting NIR spectrophotometer that can be used for reflectance and transmittance measurements at varying angles. It features a single-beam optical geometry and has a stabilized tungsten halogen source. Snap-in gratings and TE-cooled detectors allow operation in the 350- to 2500-nm range. The instrument is available in a selection of focal lengths and with NIST-traceable standards for transmittance and reflectance.
