Request InfoSCHOTT North America Inc.Schott Advanced Optics has developed a continuous melting manufacturing process for its LASF35 high-index-of-refraction glass. The procedure achieves higher internal transmission, especially inside the blue wavelength region, making the glass suitable for miniaturized lens systems, such as those used as ball lenses or microprisms in medical technology for endoscopes, microscopes and other microlenses. Internal transmission is 63% at 400 nm for a thickness of 10 mm. The glass is RoHS-compliant.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSBioPhotonics May/Jun 2024 IssueErbium Fiber LaserThe ELMO 780 XHP from Menlo Systems is a high-power, industry-grade femtosecond erbium fiber laser that can be used in applications such as multi-photon microscopy and 3D nano printing.
