Sirius Advanced Cybernetics (SAC) GmbH has released a new version of its Coake image processing interpreter, a software tool that enables integrators and end users to solve optical measurement tasks using vision systems. The updated version provides various new features, such as a basic interpreter supporting the execution of basic scripts without requiring programming of extensive source code and a command for the adjustment of camera perspective errors.
The software is intended to facilitate quality assurance and optical measurement tasks as well as reading and sorting applications. The company says that its experience in these fields has led to an extensive and well-tested instruction set for solving complex automation functions.
All programming for the respective applications is done graphically by dragging and dropping icons within the programme editor. As a result, even difficult image processing tasks can be programmed by the user without any previous knowledge and after only a few hours of training.
Also important is the integration of the software into a system and into the machine flow to log and remove faulty parts and to store relevant picture files. These features are included in the software package’s integrated statistics functions and in the database interface.
