Basler Vision Technologies has introduced the pilot 5-megapixel GigE vision camera based on Sony’s ICX625 CCD sensor, which delivers resolution of 2456 × 2048 pixels and operates at 12 fps. The compact camera measures 29 × 44 mm and features binning modes of up to 4 × 4, programmable exposure control and a programmable area of interest with speed increase. It is available in monochrome and color versions and does not require a frame grabber.
