EdmundOpticss.jpgEdmund Optics Inc. has introduced ultrafast Ti:sapphire laser mirrors that keep pulses together with flat group velocity dispersion curves centered around 800 nm and flat over the 700- to 900-nm range. Available with diameters of 12.7 and 25.4 mm, the mirrors are 6.35 mm thick and have a surface quality of 10-5 and a surface accuracy of λ/10. They can withstand laser powers of up to 0.5 J/cm2 in a 150-fs-long pulse, or a 100 kW/cm2 continuous wave.
