ISS Inc. has introduced the ChronosBH, a fully automated spectrometer with picosecond resolution. It can use laser diodes, LEDs, Ti:sapphire, white laser and other pulsed light sources to perform precise time-correlated single-photon-counting measurements. It uses either a multichannel plate or a photomultiplier tube as a detector, with a wavelength range of 160 to 850 nm or 185 to 850 nm, respectively. The device is a dual-mode, time-resolved instrument that offers users a choice between frequency- and time-domain solutions.
