MAINZ, Germany, Oct. 17, 2008 – Dilas Industrial Laser Systems has introduced a galvo scanner with integrated pyrometer for use with the company’s Compact series fiber-coupled, turnkey diode laser system with output powers up to 500 W.

With the on-axis single color pyrometer, the temperature of the welding zone can be optically measured during scanning process, which allows a closed-loop temperature control for the production process. DILAS-industrial-laser.jpg

The scanner is available with 20 or 30 mm apertures in combination with 400 µm (or 200 µm) fibers and F-Theta optics to keep the beam spot focused. It also features a beam diameter of 2.8 mm (or 1.4 mm) in a 140 x 140 mm2 field.

It is equipped with color-corrected F-Theta optics, pyrometer, collimation, a control unit and scanner, and pyrometer software. It is suitable for quasi-simultaneous plastics welding.
