IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 12, 2008 – Toshiba America Information Systems Inc. has released the TLP-WX100U mobile projector with closed captioning function and WXGA resolution.

Packaged in a slim form factor, the projector measures less than three inches high and is about the size of a hardcover novel, according to the company. It utilizes 3LCD technology for color reproduction and offers 2200 ANSI lumens for a bright display. It has a 1280 x 800 native WXGA resolution and a sharp 600:1 contrast ratio. It also offers a “blackboard” function allowing presentations to be made on non-screen surfaces, a quick-power shutdown and an automatic vertical keystone correction to offset angles of ± 45° to the screen. It also features digital zoom and front, rear and ceiling projection options. Projection distance ranges from 3.08 to 37.99 ft., with a throw ratio of 1.48 to 1.78:1.

It is suitable for mobile professionals, educators, corporate customers, small to medium businesses or for digital entertainment on the go.
