The RG regenerative amplifier series diode-pumped solid-state picosecond lasers manufactured by Photonics Industries International Inc. produce more than 3 mJ per pulse at 1 kHz and more than 10 W at 10 kHz at 1064 nm. The instruments offer nominal pulse widths of ~15 ps and maintain TEM00 beam quality with M2 typically <1.3. The industrial-grade closed-loop chilled lasers are Q-switched. Applications include metal welding, cutting and deburring; lidar; stereo lithography; and satellite laser ranging.
