Opto Diode Corp. has introduced the ODA-6WB-500M, a 6-mm2 blue-green-enhanced silicon photodiode preamplifier. Typical sensitivity response at 450 nm is 140 V/W, and spectral operating range is from 400 to 1100 nm, with peak spectral frequency at 840 nm. Transimpedance gain is 500 MΩ. Hermetically sealed in a TO-39 housing, it operates and can be stored at temperatures from –25 to 100 °C, and it withstands a soldering temperature of up to 260 °C.
