Toptica.jpgToptica Photonics AG has introduced the PicoFYb hands-off fiber-based picosecond seeder for high-power generation. The fiber is ytterbium-doped to offer emission wavelengths between 1025 and 1070 nm. It delivers a standard pulse duration of <10 ps, has a spectral linewidth and accuracy of 0.5 nm and an average power of 10 mW with a radio-frequency side mode suppression of >60 dB. It offers a repetition rate of 20 mHz. Available with single-mode polarization to maintain outcoupling, it is suitable for ultrafast physics, biophotonics lifetime measurements and high-power seeding of Yb:YAG/YVO4 or Nd:YAG amplifiers.
