TeemPhotonics.jpgCombining passively Q-switched microchip laser technology with fiber amplification, the PicoSpark from Teem Photonics USA is a microwatt laser that generates picosecond pulses with hundreds of kilowatts of peak power. The Q-switched microchip is the seed that sets the pulse width in the hundreds of picoseconds. The laser output is coupled into a fiber amplifier that serves as the gain stage. Available at 1064, 532 and 355 nm, the laser is housed in a compact turnkey package.
