Chromasens GmbH has unveiled the Corona, an LED line-scan illuminator available in lengths of 340 and 680 mm. It can be equipped with white, red, IR, green or blue LEDs with intensities up to 140,000 lx. An external controller enables the user to regulate the intensity via PC software. The passively cooled modular unit has an aluminium housing and cooling fin. Applications include assembly- and production-line inspections, document scanning and print quality inspection systems, inspection of natural and artificial materials, sorting processes and surface inspection.
