The Mipos series positioning systems, available from piezosystem jena, offer motion of up to 500 μm and nanometer accuracy for positioning microscope objectives. The design permits a resonant frequency of up to 410 Hz as well as parallel travel, and the device is available in an upside down version for use with inverted microscopes. The systems provide continuous motion when controlled by the analog signal of the piezo amplifier.
