OXFORD, Mass., March 30, 2009 – IPG Photonics Corp. has announced a new line of cost-effective fiber lasers designed for cladding, brazing, hardening and annealing applications in the automotive, aerospace and oil industries. The company says that the custom lasers are better suited to these applications than are fiber-delivered direct diode types.

The YLS-CL series lasers are available operating at 2, 3 or 4 kW and feature a choice of round or square fiber deliveries with various output fiber core sizes and beam shapes. The compact plug-and-play devices offer rapid fiber replacement and fast switching, and they come with a three-year full warranty.
