VRmagic.jpgVRmagic GmbH has introduced a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) camera with up to 4-pixel synchronous CMOS sensors with global shutter. The sensors are connected via an LVDS data cable and can be freely positioned. Image data is coordinated on an FPGA module with at least 256 MB of RAM. The camera can be used for three-dimensional reconstruction and can apply light-section, gray-code and phase-shift processes to moving objects. It operates from 0 to 40 °C, has free programmable timings, low jitter for trigger and strobe, and offers lossless real-time compression.
