Coherent.jpgCoherent Inc. has released the Libra HE one-box ultrafast Ti:sapphire amplifier, which delivers higher pulse energy and shorter pulse widths than previous models. The device produces more than 3.5 mJ at 1 kHz with pulse widths of <50 or <100 fs, with a standard repetition rate of 1 or 5 kHz at 800 nm. It features a beam quality of M2 <1.3 and provides an output stability of <0.5% rms with the proprietary E-2 Engine regenerative amplifier in conjunction with the Evolution pump platform. It is suitable for applications such as photochemistry and photophysics, including pumping multiple tunable optoelectronic pulse amplifiers, and for ultrafast techniques such as fluorescence upconversion.
