Halcyonics.jpgHalcyonics GmbH has introduced its Nano 20 active vibration isolation system that is compatible with many compact scanning probe microscopes. The isolator weighs 5.6 kg and measures 204 × 204 × 60 mm. It provides up to 8 kg of active vibration isolation in all six degrees of freedom, beginning at 0.6 Hz and reaching >99% isolation (–40 dB) at >10 Hz. It does not require adjustment or tuning before use, and the company says that setup requires only placing the microscope on the isolator, some simple connections and turning on the power.
