EpiLight.jpgEpi-Light Ltd. has introduced the Exci-Light biofluorescence illuminator for use in microarray analysis, in vivo diagnostics and gel documentation. The device is available in a range of wavelengths covering the near-UV and visible spectral regions, such as the deep-blue LED, which has an emission wavelength of 470 nm with a cutoff of 510 nm. The switch-on time is less than 1 μs, and it has a beam divergence of 5° ±1°. A compact power supply unit is included, and the illuminator has a typical lifetime of 50,000 h.
