The iDrive cantilever holder from Asylum Research simplifies atomic force microscopy fluid imaging and allows autotuning of cantilevers in fluids. Available for use with the company’s MFP-3D atomic force microscopes, the accessory uses a patented technique to magnetically actuate the cantilever. Multiple peaks associated with piezo-driven fluid tunes are eliminated. The holder does not require cantilevers with magnetic coatings, which can cause unwanted cantilever bending or expose the sample to harmful metal ions. It can be operated in iDrive or piezo-driven AC mode. Compatible probes are included.
