Semrock Inc. has unveiled a single-band optical filter set designed for use with 625-nm quantum dot nanocrystals from Invitrogen Corp. The QD625-A BrightLine filter set is designed to provide brilliant, dense multicolor detection. The filters have high transmission and steep edges coupled with a narrow emission passband to match 625-nm quantum dots. The set achieves minimal crosstalk from all neighboring quantum dots and features the company’s “no burnout” performance. The highly transmitting, deep-blue exciter achieves maximum quantum dot excitation efficiency while virtually eliminating any DAPI or Hoechst excitation.
