BeckmanCoulte.jpgDeveloped for the research and biopharmaceutical markets, the Gallios flow cytometry system from Beckman Coulter Inc. is a multicolor, multilaser instrument designed to enhance the efficiency and analytical capabilities of flow cytometry laboratories. To deliver stable performance over long periods and across a range of operating temperatures, it houses up to three solid-state lasers in standard red and blue, with violet as an available option. It offers easily interchanged optical filters to facilitate detection of a variety of dyes and wavelengths. It features up to 10-color analysis, and a selection of up to 62 parameters can be processed per analysis at acquisition rates of 25,000 events per second with high yield. The forward-scatter detector performs up to three measurements of cell size as well as visualization of particles measuring down to 0.404 μm in diameter.
