The F150 machine vision system from Omron Electronics Inc. includes a camera, light source, lens, keypad and cables for $4300. No programming is required, and all system setup and use are keypad-controlled. The F150 system can identify good and bad parts and store up to 23 good or bad images in memory, enabling users to pinpoint specific failure points and to adjust accordingly. It allows up to 16 setup scenes with up to 16 inspection windows in each scene. Applications include identifying missing or improperly placed parts, inspecting assembled parts, and chip orientation and placement.
